Thanks CG!

Thanks for keeping my aversion to cooked fruit in mind. This was delicious!

Crocs bling

The largest collection of Crocs that I've seen so far in Toronto are at the Segway store at the Distillery District .

They even have bling for them now, and NO, I won't be getting any.

High Noon

The problem with taking photos at high noon is that sometimes the sun is so bright that I'm blinded and can't really see what I'm taking a picture of. I'm pretty sure if I had noticed these wasps, I probably wouldn't have taken this photo.

Smoking is Stupid

These are the walls and ceilings of an apartment where the tenant smoked. Imaging what a person's lungs must be coated in. GROSS.

A picture was hanging on this wall, that would be the white patch. The rest of the place was that yellowy-beige colour.

There was a spot on the ceiling which was wiped off, but once that was done, there was a worse "clean" spot, by the fire detector.

Again with the French!

On the way home on Tuesday, I happened to pass a flood of disappointed German fans as the semi-finals with Italy ended at the intersection of King and University. So yesterday, knowing that I was going to have to pass the same French restaurant on King as Saturday, I was hoping that 1. either France would lose, or 2. I'd pass before the game against Portugal ended. Neither of those things happened. As soon as the streetcar crossed University, I started hearing whistles and cheering, and suddenly the streetcar stopped moving. A steady stream of French fans spilled out onto the streets and blocked traffic in all directions. Seeing as the streetcar is on tracks we weren't going anywhere, the driver finally opened the doors to let us out. I ended up walking through the crowd until I reached another car beyond the excitement. At least I wasn't heading the other direction, the traffic seems far worse for some reason. You can't tell from the final pic, but there are at least eight streetcars trying to go west.

The moment France beat Brazil today.

Happy Canada Day!

It seems that on Canada Day the TTC attaches a single Canadian Flag on every single streetcar that hits the road. That's pretty cool.
