The 292 oooopsy.

My sincere apologies to everyone I sent emails to today. I was trying to set up my work email to say I'd be away as of May 16th until further notice. Somehow I managed to send out 292 emails, 21 to myself, 47 to the IT Manager, 20+ to the Executive Secretary, 35+ to the receptionist, 4 to the President of the company, and multiple other emails to various friends and coworkers, and at least 30 to people who's names I don't even recognize.

As I was typing out what my message would say, I noticed that the window behind suddenly put an arrow beside every email in my inbox, that's when I started getting email from myself, and then a number of phone calls, IMs and people coming by my desk. I was a tad shaken by how when I initially was going to type the message it was going to be some crazy message full of cursing and an inside joke to the ONE coworker I was going to have test out my auto reply. That is totally the kind of mess I get myself into all the time, fortunately for me, I only typed the wrong date (which also caused confusion, seeing that it was a date that has already gone by). *sigh*

Instead of leaving without anyone here knowing my business, I spent the rest of the afternoon explaining that I was going to have CP surgery tomorrow.

I gave the office a good laugh. I was the daily comic relief at the office at my own expense.

No blogging or picture taking...

Actually I probably can with my left hand, but that would be painfully slow one finger typing and I could turn the camera upside down and press it with my thumb...hmmm...something to think about. Anyways, I'll be out of commition for a couple weeks so my hand can heal. See you then!

Happy 50th MD!!

Last Magnolia

Once again I've managed to miss my window of opportunity to take a picture of a magnolia tree in full bloom. There's always next year...if I ever buy a home I'm going to plant one of these just so I can take a picture! Even if there are alot of petals to pick up afterwards.

I hate this tunnel

1. There are migraine inducing lights blaring all day long
2. The streetcar has to reduce it's speed to a crawl
3. The traffic noises are magnified by about 100 decibels when you're walking through it,
4. and there are too many pigeons living underneath

Large item pick up

I guess this was the day you could throw anything out in your trash. Now that I think about it, how else do you get rid of a queen size retro print mattress?

Watery Goodness

Look at the detail of the water! Someone is going to be looking for fountains and water features all summer now.

It only took 14 months...

...but I've finally discovered and used the Accent Colour setting on the camera!

InJapan

This is our local Japanese restaurant around work. I decided to try something other than a bento box and had the Beef Donburi.

Marinated beef on rice with egg and vegetables.

The Inaugural Game

Traffic was basically at a stand still on the Gardiner Expressway because of the inaugural Toronto FC game this past saturday. However, when we got to the actual stadium where we could see the stands and crowds, the bottleneck in the traffic ended, and my photo was a big bur of a bunch of cars...sadness. I'm sure I'll get a picture one day!

The trick is...

...if you stand in line long enough, they'll give you a free sample, so you don't actually have to buy one (or a dozen).
